Sooner or later the person who I am dating will look in my medicine cabinet. It could be as innocent as needing floss, but nonetheless my prescription medicine will be exposed. A diagnosis is a Google search away and as much as I hope my privacy will be respected, I want to be prepared if I’m asked about it. Or maybe get in front of it before wrong theories are drawn? It’s also 2017: who isn’t taking performance enhancing drugs? Thank you very much for your time.

Dear PILL THRILL,
There are a few ways to go about this. The easiest being to put your medication elsewhere until you are ready to disclose your diagnosis. Bing bang boom, problem solved.
If you don’t want to put it somewhere else, consider sharing your diagnosis. Wait for the right time. If he/she seems like the type who will respect you and be empathetic, then go for it. I mean, do you really want to be with someone who would be an asshole about it? Lots of people take medication for a variety of reasons, it’s not shameful.
Last solution, keep your meds where they are and see if your new person really looks. Say they do, and they Google the medication and see what you’re taking it for. Seems like they’re in the wrong here, but if they are shocked or think less of you, fuck that. Buh bye person!
