What do you do to your hair that makes it look so healthy and beautiful?
I promise that I did not write this question. A very, very nice person did and I want to say THANK YOU THAT IS VERY NICE.
About once or twice week I put this hair mask on, and I swear it’s (hair) life changing. It’s a bit pricey (around $50-$60), but I’ve had it for nearly two years so it’s a great value. I also bought professional hair scissors and trim my hair myself every 7 weeks or so (I know, I shouldn’t do that, but I’m cheap). You know when you go to your hair stylist and you’re like, “I’m trying to grow out my hair!” and they’re like, “Okay but I have to trim it in order for it to grow faster and more healthily.” Well, they say that because they’re right. That’s why they’re professionals! I am not a professional but I had a bad hair salon experience here and convinced myself that I wouldn’t ruin my hair if I just trimmed an inch of split ends off every month and a half or two months. Since I’ve been doing that it really has been growing great.
I also use henna (Lush Caca Rouge) to colour my hair. It’s super messy and time consuming. I leave it in for about an hour and a half. My natural hair colour is blonde with strawberry tones so I don’t need to leave it the recommended four (!!) hours. I henna it every six months or so. From what I understand, the henna coats and enriches the hair. Fun fact, Amy Adams, Christina Hendricks, and Debra Messing are all henna redheads! Lucille Ball was too! I love what it does to my hair and I can’t imagine changing it now.
I love Oribe products and use these regularly:
This is a great primer after the shower, it has that incredible Oribe smell and makes my hair feel soft whether I blow dry it or not.
This dry texturizing spray is basically a perfume that also works as a hairspray/texture spray/semi-dry shampoo. I am obsessed with it.
So there you go! Here’s my hair after being henna’d, and after using the products I mentioned:
Thank you again for the greatest compliment you kind person,
